Black Briar , an American restaurant in West Loop, got its City of Chicago food license on August 26, 2026. It is a new American tavern from a chef who previously ran the kitchens at Bohemian House and Bellemore, working with Bellemore's former general manager. It takes over the former Bar Takito space in Fulton Market. It expects to open September 26, 2026. It passed its license inspection on August 20, 2026. It also has a license to serve alcohol on site. Newly licensed spots often soft-open first, so check their listing or call ahead before you go.
